JOIN TLP THIS GIVING SEASON

The Leo Project relies on the generosity of individuals, specifically during the “giving season,” to expand our work and make health and education more accessible to tens of thousands of people living in the Laikipia North region of Kenya. With the support of individual donors over the past four years, we have developed an education program focused on teaching life skills to thousands of primary and secondary school students. We have purchased and maintained an ambulance - one of only 354 in a country of 55 million people. We have established the Co:Work space as a hub for young professionals and creatives alike to reach their career goals. And, we have built The Caitlin O’Hara Community Health Clinic, which serves more than 1,200 people each month, providing healthcare at a level of quality and compassion that is increasingly recognized as unprecedented in Kenya.

A recent key stakeholder visited the clinic as a patient and shared the following sentiment:

I must tell you what a wonderful experience I had at The Leo Project [Health Clinic] recently. From the warm welcome at the gate, to the beautifully landscaped grounds. The reception was seamless, the doctor very graceful and on point. Twenty minutes later I was on my way back to work with a treatment plan and medicine - all for Kshs. 150 [approximately $1.15 USD]. The Leo Project is deserving of our support!

Today, TLP is at a pivotal, and very exciting moment. Our work over the past four years is paying off in the form of strong programs in education and healthcare that are ready to be scaled. And we are moving forward, step by step, to build an in-patient hospital specializing in maternity care and oncology.

As we enter 2025, we are asking those of you that have supported us over the years to stay the course, and we invite new supporters to join us and give what you are able. We need to raise $100,000 USD by the end of the year, and your contribution matters and makes a difference. It is truly awe-inspiring what this group of individuals has been able to build through single acts of support over four years. Thank you for your ongoing support in helping us reach our goals.

The above renderings show the NICU and Kangaroo Care space, one of two operating rooms, and the Oncology Center in the new inpatient hospital.
